BUENOS AIRES 72

A TRUE STORY

CONCERT-SHOW IN PROGRESS

Tango 1972, is the REAL story of a woman that leap through time with her music: THE MUSIC OF tango.

Women and men of the 70s were « encapsulated » and soon it came the burst of the cultural revolution and the liberation : they could dress less heavily, let their hair grow, wear mini-skirts, try drugs, smoke, have sex.

Everybody was playing with the fire.

TANGO 1972 IN JAPAN, 2014

First representation at Kurosakihibishin Hall Theater in Japan – November 8-9, 2014

In this new project called “Tango 1972“, I show some events that took place in my country, in my childhood and teenagehood. Some tensions in my life.

What happened to Argentina that I couldn’t stand?

What is that hurt me?

What was, what IS my behaviour at the moment? Did I feel good or bad?

Those years could have been happy, but they haven’t been.

As a teenager, going out wasn’t like just ‘hanging out’.

How did I grow up, what my education looked like?

What was the fashion, how did I dress up?

It was the time of the censorship and I wasn’t free.

Taboos were everywhere.
